Rocket Arena Is Out Today

Rocket Arena blasts onto screens today as EA sets its sights on dominating the online battle arena on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

After an initial reveal back in Jun 2020, EA has unleashed yet another online battle arena on unsuspecting gamers. The gaming megalith is set to attack the shooter genre once more and try to gain a march on the competition, where games like Amazon’s Crucible have given up ground. Explosive Action?

While you’ll see plenty of tricks traps and other enemies across a range of maps, like the tropical ruins of The Gemstone Jungle or the high-tech, utopia of Boom City, the real twist to Rocket Arena is in the name. Rocket Arnea allows players to strap on a rocket and defy gravity utilising some explosive moves as they wield an inventive arsenal of weapons in their attempt to plough down their enemies. Players jumping in can explore a growing roster of fantastic heroes, each with distinctive personalities, backstories, and rivalries then join a team of three as Rocket Arena goes 3v3.

With plenty of animated action, rockets, and an ever expanding roster of heroes, Rocket Arena doesn’t quite cover the same ground as Ubisoft’s recent Hyper Scape but it is certainly yet another contender for your attention. We certainly haven’t had enough time in game quite yet to comment on EA’s own business model.
