Rocket League Sideswipe Is Coming To Mobile

Psyonix, the developer behind the hugely popular Rocket League, is taking its mighty machines on the go with a brand new game, Rocket League Sideswipe.

Announced just today and due to park up on iOS and Android later this year, Rocket League Sideswipe is a brand new take of the traditional motorized action that is Rocket League. This new perspective on the current core, competitive gameplay of Rocket League features a range of 1v1, 2v2, casual and competitive modes all going side on for 2 minutes of action at a time.

A New Arena

Matches in this mobile debut for the Rocket League brand will come with familiar car customization options and plenty of extra add ons, allowing players to mix and match their aesthetic options and utilize more advanced in game mechanics to leave opponents in first gear. Psyonix has promised this will all sit behind a set of mobile controls that should allow anybody to defy gravity, as well as an online ranked system for those with more advanced skills behind the wheel.

While we don’t have a great deal more information about Rocket League Sideswipe, we did get a brief trailer for the small screen follow up to Rocket League’s PC and Console shenanigans. While the rest of us will have to wait, Starting today, players in Australia and New Zealand will be able to join a limited-time Regional Alpha test on Android via the Google Play Store as of today. As for me, I’m going to park up on the desktop version and hope that this is just as good as the recent handheld port of Blade & Soul Revolution.

If you’re not in Australia or New Zealand head over to the official Rocket League Sideswipe blog post for more details now.
