Developer Owlcat Games is holding the new difficulty survey for turn-based cRPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Is the game too hard? Too easy? Would you like more challenge? Share your opinions about each of the game’s Acts in this difficulty survey! Your opinions are really important for the developers to improve the game’s balance.
“In this survey, we aim to address the questions of difficulty and balance. Since additional content (DLC) and major updates have introduced some balance changes, it is important that your evaluation pertains to a specific timeframe. For example, when marking your use of the Void Shadows DLC, please assess the difficulty of playing with this content rather than recalling your experience before installing the DLC.”
Completing the survey takes roughly about 5 minutes, with questions focusing on how the difficulty felt according to the Act, what would you prefer it to be changed like, and asking if certain battles felt too difficult or too easy.
Previously, the developers from Owlcat Games participated in a huge AMA where they answered a multitude of questions related to Pathfinder, Rogue Trader, and general studio events. Additionally, players could take part in the Rogue Trader DLC of Your Dreams survey to help the studio collect some feedback for any possible future expansions.
Last but not least, the second premium DLC Lex Imperialis is slated to arrive in late spring 2025. Much like the already released Void Shadows, it aims to introduce about 15 hours of extra gameplay. The second major story expansion sees the Lord Captain join forces with a new companion — a member of the Adeptus Arbites. As the past of House von Valancius begins to present itself in a new light, the Rogue Trader faces difficult decisions that may affect the future of the entire Koronus Expanse.
