Some quests take longer than others and today NIS America confirmed that as RPG Maker MV hit a delay. It looks like fans of the RPG series will have to wait until later this year to write their own epic quests.
In a recent press release, publisher NIS America confirmed that the latest RPG maker is going to take a bit longer to reach fans. Simply citing “ongoing issues with development” the latest update provides little detail but does promise that “we are taking action in order to deliver the best possible product to our fans”.
Developed by Kadokawa Corporation, RPG Maker MV is due to land on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when it launches. This console only title is a very modern take on 1995’s RPG Tsukuru Super Dante on the Super Famicom and promises to start every adventure with you. This particular interpretation of the RPG Maker is intended to blend simplicity with depth, providing a vast array of tools to even the most inexperienced dungeon master. This comes coupled with the RPG Maker MV app, which lets players share their adventures with the wider public. With hundreds of assets and not a mouse in sight, this console-centric RPG Maker is definitely going to be an interesting option and a new twist on other RPGs.
With no estimated time of arrival for RPG Maker MV, we will all be keeping our eyes peeled. If you want the most up to date details on RPG Maker, head over to the official website.
