Blue Protocol is Bandai Namco’s online ARPG. In July 2019, the administrator of the game’s Reddit page revealed that the team had no plans for Western release at the time:
I’ve just received word from Bandai Namco that they have no plans for a western release at the moment. However, they also said that “this is subject to change”, so there is still a chance that Blue Protocol will hit the western market in the future.
However, the company’s site is currently featuring a new job listing for an English localization manager for Blue Protocol:
Bandai Namco is looking for a Localization Manager for Blue Protocol
The Localization Managers Tasks are the following:
- UI localization
- Text localization (Probably Dialogs, Names, Quests, Descriptions etc)
- Cutscene Voiceover
Job Requirements:
Experience in localization
English language
Experience in working overseas
While this is not a confirmation of the Western release and it is too early to celebrate, this gives fans some hope for the English version of the game. Stay tuned for any updates on the matter.
