Headup and Devespresso Games have announced that their upcoming “story-driven Oz-esque adventure” Scarlet Hood & the Wicked Wood finally has a release date. The game was originally planned for release in February, but developers felt that it needed more time and pushed the date back. The new release date is April 8, 2021.
Developers revealed a number of new or altered features coming to the game including the fact that the entire game will be released on April 8th rather than episodically as was originally planned. In addition, the game will launch in seven languages: English, Korean, German, French, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.
Other key features include:
- a narrative time loop
- “ridiculous puzzles”
- multi-path storyline
- multiple endings based on decisions made
- hand-drawn graphics
- witching skills to avoid detection
