Scarlet Returns To Spread Some Clockwork Chaos In The Latest Guild Wars 2 Living World Episode

Scarlet Briar is back today as ArenaNet unleashes Clockwork Chaos on the citizens of Tyria. The latest return to Living World Season 1 is here and players finally have a chance to relive the rise of an infamous villain, for free.

Available now as yet another free update to ArenaNet’s massively popular MMORPG, Living World Season 1, Episode 3 is a seminal moment in Tyrian history. This rerun marks the rise of a nefarious legend in Tyrian lore, and kicks off some serious consequences for this fantasy world. For fans of the game who weren’t able to take part in the events that led to the eventual destruction of Lion’s Arch, you’ll find that Clockwork Chaos consolidates much of the original 2013 experience into a single narrative episode. If you’ve never had a chance to dive into Clockwork Chaos and take on rogue Clockwork engines then have a look at what’s to come with the new trailer, above.

Alongside a chance to step back in time, the rerun of Clockwork Chaos gives veterans of the early years a reason to replay this familiar content. Alongside the reformatting of narrative content, there are brand new rewards too. These include Watchknight Greaves and the Pavilion Champion’s Wolfblade, a blade modeled after the clockwork knights of the Queen’s Jubilee.

In a more permanent change, the new update will also add a bunch of changes to several iconic World Boss monster. The age-old Great Jungle Wurm, Shadow Behemoth, Svanir Shaman Chief, and Fire Elemental bosses will receive gameplay design updates that bring their events up current game standards, while several of these boss models will also receive visual improvements.
