Scorn Headed for an Earlier Release Date

Scorn Release

Ebb Software and Kepler Interactive have thrilled multitudes of Scorn fans with the news that it will be coming out earlier than expected. Originally planned for an October 21st release date, the team says that the community “has waited long enough.” As a result, the action-adventure game will make its way to consoles and PC on October 14th, a full week early. Players can get their hands on a copy of the game on Xbox Series X/S as a day-one release with Xbox Game Pass. It will also be available for PC via Steam, GoG, and Epic Games Store.

Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry. It is designed around the idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.

Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles, and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game, you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, and various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.

Game features include:

  • A cohesive lived-in open-ended world that contains interconnected regions. There are plenty of rooms and pathways to discover. Players will enjoy a story that takes place in the game without cut-scenes to distract from immersion.
  • Full body awareness so that interaction with the world is more realistic. Players will see “their” hands pick things up, work machines, play instruments, and more.
  • Inventory and ammo management of a loadout that is defined and limited. Players will remain in a greater state of awareness of scarcity as a result.
