The November update for Sea of Thieves has officially set sail for both PC and Xbox One.
The Seabound Soul offers players a brand new Tall Tale to explore. Pirates will set off on a “quest to uncover the mystery of the legendary Captain Pendragon and his ship, the Blackwyche”. What makes the adventure all the more mysterious is that both Pendragon and his legendary ship have been unseen for quite some time but are now being sighted across the seas.
Completion of this brand new Tall Tale offers players some great booty including a set of black sails with a red dragon emblazoned on them as well as an onyx-colored sword.
Players will also want to keep eyes peeled for Ashen Chests that can be found aboard Skeleton Ships. Woe to the unwary, however, as these troves are protected by Ashen Guardians. Ashen Chest Voyages can be claimed from Jim who is currently in charge of the Bilge Rats. Separate Voyages will offer Pirate Legends a chance to claim an Ashen Key that, you guessed it, is used to unlock the treasure chests.
Denizens of the sea will also be able to attack their foes with fire, thanks to its introduction in this month’s update. “Fire will catch and spread on ships, so if your vessel is set alight, you’d better be on hand with a bucket of water!” Players will also be able to track down a recipe to learn how to make firebombs for even more portable flamethrowing action.
There are also a number of new items in the Pirate Emporium, including the new Cockatoo and Marmoset pet breeds.
