Psyonix has laid out all of the details for the upcoming arrival of Rocket League Season 2. The new season is expected to race out the gates on Wednesday, December 9th, and comes with a new Rocket Pass, Player Anthems, and much more.
The latest Rocket Pass includes all sorts of goodies that can be unlocked throughout the season. There are two versions available: Free and the Pass Premium. Those who purchase the Pass Premium will immediately unlock the R3MX vehicle and will be able to progress through Tier 70 to unlock the R3MX GXT. In addition, the passes both feature tons of new customization options including new Decals, Wheels, and Light Show Goal Explosions.
Season 2 also comes with a brand new Arena called Neon Fields. It will be available as part of Online Playlists and Private Matches.
Player Anthems are also part of Season 2. These allow players to “tap into RL‘s ever-growing soundtrack and play your favorite music in the Arena when you score a goal with this new customization option”.
Rocket Labs will be added periodically throughout Season 2 as a Casual LTM Playlist. In this LTM, you’ll be able to check out non-standard, and even experimental, Arenas featuring classic Soccar, as well as other game modes and mutators. Veteran players remember Rocket Labs from the early years of Rocket League. And, a new Rocket Labs arena will be added to the playlist that’s an even bigger throwback to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars.
