The Deep End Games and 2124 Publishing have announced that a delightfully dark new dating sim is coming to PS5, XBOX X/S, Steam and Epic Games Store. While the likes of Monster Prom and My Beautiful Wife might have plumbed the depths of hell for a cat full of cuties, this new adventure looks likely to mow down all your preconceptions about the genre.
Romancelvania is a darkly comedic dating sim. Throughout this unusual experience you’ll befriend or eliminate a cast of 12 fully voiced supernatural contestants. From pumpkin witches to cheesy werewolves there are plenty of choices. a robust story full of dialogue and narrative options, as well as the ability to choose your body type and voice all sound par for the course, but here’s the catch. While you’ll skulk through the back streets of Booty Bay, you might need to eliminate some of the competition. Mingled among the reality TV comedy, is a side scrolling metroidvania. As the former Drac fights through this realm of demonic desire, expect to vanquish goons with iconic weapons, elementals, bats, and even Medusa’s “headouken!”
