Set Your Sights As Laser League: World Arena Shoots Onto Steam - overhead view of the laser league arena

Laser League: World Arena, a high-speed free arena shooter from C505 games, has just landed on steam and it’s ditching bullet time for something a little faster.

505 and C-E Asia have announced a new frantic free-to-play shooter for PC. Laser League: World Arena is described as a simple but highly competitive multiplayer battle where speed is of the essence. One blink of the eye and any match could turn. Based on a previous version of this title, Laser League: World Arena is a rebrand of a 2018 launch, plunging players into a fight as a 2 or 3 person squad. Once contained in the laser ramping arena, competitors must use captured laser nodes and their own sidearms to vaporize the opposition and be the last team standing.

It sounds like a simple concept, and it is no hero shooter like Overwatch and others, but 505 Games will be hoping that the speed and challenge is something of a draw for competitive types, allowing them to take on other players from around the globe in a test of reflexes and tactics. Teams will be able to pick from a range of classes. The Blade, Smash, Snipe, Ghost, Theif, and Shock are so appropriately named that we’re not going to have to spell out what they do here, but this should give plenty of in arena diversity. There is also a solid variety of game modes to test potential players, including:

– QUICK MATCH: Compete with online players under neon light.
– PRIVATE MATCH: Set your own private room to have fun with up to 8 friends.
– DUEL1V1: Toe-to-toe duel.
– LOCAL MATCH: Have fun with friends in front of one screen.

The best way to get an idea of what’s coming is to check out the trailer above, and head over to the official Steam Store for more on this free to play competitor now.
