Pearl Abyss has announced that Shadow Arena, an arena-based fighter, will be entering closed beta testing from February 27th to March 8th. Interested players can head to the game’s official site to sign up for possible selection.
Shadow Arena originally made its debut in Pearl Abyss’s MMORPG, Black Desert Online. However, the game recently “evolved into its own stand-alone game”. Up to 40 players take the fight to one another and against AI-controlled monsters in a battle for supremacy. The goal, as it is with all battle royale games, is to be the “last man standing”. To get there during CBT, players can choose any one of nine playable characters, each with its own unique way of playing. During the battle, players can hunt monsters, collect loot to upgrade their gear and gain powerful buffs. But it will take a wily player to become the winner.
Shadow Arena will be available for everyone in the first half of 2020. Learn more on its official site.
