During this week’s Gamescom, Middle-Earth Shadow of War saw two new trailers released. The first is a bird’s eye view of the monsters players will encounter. The second is a short preview of the Machine Tribe.
Shadow of War Trailers
Let’s begin with a look, shall we? In the monsters trailer, you’ll see some of the monsters, creatures and beasts that litter the game. They are all part of the open world experience as you travel along story-based missions. You’ll need to be careful not to run face-first into, for instance, a Balrog or a fire breathing drake, or gigantic spiders. Why does it always have to be spiders? Let’s not forget, too, that the spirit of nature can take the form of a dangerous creature herself.
Take a look for yourself:
In the second trailer, you’ll get a good look at the Machine tribe, one of the Orc groups you’ll encounter. This bunch seems a bit more advanced than some as they are close to a new age including machine building and industrial goods for the Dark Lord.
Set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an open world action RPG that continues the original narrative of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Players will be engrossed in a richer, more personal and expansive world full of epic heroes and villains, iconic locations, original enemy types, more personalities and a new cast of characters with untold stories.
You’ll be able to check out the game for yourself on October 10th. The game is available for preorder for XBox One X, XBox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro as well as Windows 10 via the Windows Store or Steam. Learn more on the official site.
