Shattered – Tale of the Forgotten King, an eerie action RPG come platformer from Redlosk Studios, is finally set to launch on PC next month.
Due to arrive in PC storefronts on 17 February 2021, Shattered – Tale of the Forgotten King has ben waiting to assault the throne since it hit Early Access back in 20-19. With the king lost and the world gone, this new adventure forces players to reforge reality as they haul their shrouded form out into the sunlight and take control of a nameless Wanderer and forge their path. Exploring a huge range of environments in the desolate, and sometimes beautiful, ruins that remain, this singular protagonist will unlock a continent of stories and secrets. While an exploration of this vast semi open world environment is key to unlocking the past in Shattered, this is far from a simple walking simulator. Across the many branching paths await, fearsome foes protect their horde and it will take plenty of skill to cut them down.
Adventurers will need to observe foes, anticipate their moves and use their own attacks against them. Switching between close-combat sword fights and long distance spell slinging, as the world slips between 2.5D and 3D, is the only way to ensure that the behemoths ahead don’t end this quest short. With tons of adversaries, plenty of planet to explore, and a wealth of upgrade opportunity Shattered – Tale of the Forgotten King has made great use of its time in Early Access and might very well be one of those rare Kickstarter successes that really does deliver in the end.
