Shenmue 3 launched exclusively for PlayStation 4 and for PC via the Epic Games Store on November 19, 2019. Steam users have been patiently waiting for the exclusivity agreement to end and that time has finally come. The game will be launching on Steam exactly one year after its original debut. Look for it on Steam starting November 19th. As of this writing, there is no pricing information available yet, though that’s likely to change later today now that an official launch is revealed.
The good news in all this is that the game has undergone a series of patches that have solved some of the major issues encountered by PS4 and EGS players at its original launch. As a result, many players opted to wait for the Steam release or claimed a refund. Ys Net has indicated that backer Steam codes will be able to “claim their codes through the Downloads and Download Codes section of [the] survey”.
Xbox and Switch players will have to wait to learn if the game will be coming to either platform.
