The Xbox Game Pass just confirmed that this subscription gaming service is incredible value with the addition of fantasy cRPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister.
Tactical Adventure’s fantastical Crown of the Magister is now available for owners of a current Xbox Game Pass subscription. The latest addition to the Xbox Game pass library might just be one among many, but this quest into a mysterious world filled with myth and monsters is finally brining Xbox Series S|X and Xbox One heroes into the action for no extra cash down
Initially released on PC and Mac, Crown of the Magister is an epic team adventure that puts players into the shattered world of Solasta, push into a realm full of lost ruins, epic dungeons, and fearsome monsters. Along the way, they must learn the truth about an age old cataclysm and prevent it from happening again. Like any good tabletop campaign, this includes plenty of challenges and a fantastic character creatin tool, where you can put together your very own custom band of misfits.
Solasta is a Wizards of the Coast tabletop title, but the team behind this adventure have worked hand in hand with IP owners to use Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 content and ruleset furthering the vision of making the most faithful video game adaptation with the Tabletop ruleset. This might be familiar to some RPG veterans, but this on screen adaptation expands the world out into three dimensions. You’ll climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Foes can be attacked from any angle, evading or surprising enemies from above or below.
As well as the Solasta: Crown of the Magister base game, all previously released DLCs are also now available on the Xbox Store. While this means the Primal Calling and Lost Valley DLC are both behind a paywall, multiplayer parties will all be able to follow the leader into these quests when one player has each unlocked. Thankfully nobody in your party shouldn’t find the move over to an Xbox controlled particularly difficult. This version of the game has been optimized for Xbox with a new UI, redesigned controls, and PC crossplay.
Why wait, go save the universe and somebody tell me if I can roll a bard? Check out Solasta: Magister of the Crown on the official website now.
