Sing for your Thanksgiving supper. Songpop Live is now available on Google Play, just in time for the family to murder some classics.
Freshplanet, developer of the Songpop music trivia series has just announced that it is ready to release a new title on Android gamers. Thankfully you won’t have to actually sing or interactive with any unseemly relatives. Instead, Songpop Live brings the quiz based activity of the Somgpop franchise with a host lead experience that brings players together to compete for cash prizes. This online contest occurs twice daily at 5PM and 8PM Eastern. Players compete against thousands of others through five rounds of five songs, organized by genre, artist, and more. Each of the quizzes tackles a range of potential music genres including Top Hits, Country, Dance, Love or Not, Mixtapes, Pop, Rap, R&B, Rock, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s
A Social Competition
The Songpop Live contest already went live on iOS devices on 7 November this year and this announcement allows Android players the opportunity to show exactly who is the mastermind of music. The game isn’t just a straight out test of knowledge, however. Players who need some help from their friends can grab boosts. ‘Friends Boost’ shows what your friends are picking, the ‘Remove 2’ boost removes two incorrect answers while the ‘Revive’ boost will bring players back into the game. In addition, in-game music can be added to the player’s Apple Music account, although no word on other platform-agnostic systems as yet.
Songpop Live is available to US gamers via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This free to play title is one of a range of online quiz games that allow players to guess the songs being played during each quiz. The social experience allows players to revive mid-game, earn progression points, and even pay a premium subscription.
