Songs of Conquest is an upcoming classic turn-based strategy adventure game that fuses together RPG, armed conflict and kingdom management. The game is slated to release in Q1 2022, and over the last two weeks, the team shared a bunch of development videos to show off their progress.
The developers from Lavapotion routinely post updates to their Youtube channel – so don’t miss out on a chance to subscribe if you don’t want to miss the latest news!
The first video is dedicated to the game soundtrack and features a lot of previously unreleased songs. If you ever wanted to listen to a full hour of seamless majestic fantasy music, this video is just for you.
“We are also showing off more unreleased ingame footage, mainly focusing on the adventure map environments. This is one to keep going in the background when you just need an atmospheric fantasy soundtrack as a backdrop, perhaps a D&D session or while reading a good book?”
If you are more interested in gameplay, however, the team also shared the improvement to the game’s visuals using texture effects. Even though the difference can be subtle at a time, overall it is a huge improvement. Additionally, a video from the lead developer Niklas goes into greater details about the development and debugging the AI:
