Songs of Conquest Showed Off Art Style Evolution

The developers of the upcoming turn-based strategy Songs of Conquest have shared a new blog post and a video via Steam to reveal the evolution of the game’s art style. If you have wondered why the team went for the pixel art and how the process behind developing the graphics worked, the video is just for you.

Previously, team Lavapotion shared a development update regarding the state of the game as it prepares to enter the Early Access phase on May 10th. The developers have made great progress on translations, level editor, spell system overhaul and multiplayer. Additionally, the game received some Quality of Life goodness and got its UI tidied up.

Songs of Conquest is a turn-based strategy game inspired by 90s classics. Lead powerful magicians called Wielders and venture to lands unknown. Wage battle against armies that dare oppose you and hunt for powerful artifacts. The world is ripe for the taking – seize it!
