Sega has published a new video for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog game Sonic Mania. And it is not the kind of commercial you would expect… Sonic Mania Plus Infomercial takes a shot at the usual tricks used to lure people into “hardcore gamer” shooters with microtransactions.

Sega presents a brand new classic Sonic experience for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 as well as Xbox One. In Sonic Mania players are able to play as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as they race through new and re-imagined classic zones filled with suprises and bosses. To defeat Dr. Eggman’s robots, players need to use special abilities of the characters: Drop Dash for Sonic, Flight for Tails as well as Climbing for Knuckles.

In Sonic Mania, Sega’s blue hedgehog returns to winning form.
