Sony just dropped a new Spiderman trailer ahead of the web slinger’s arrival in Marvell’s Avengers as a PlayStation exclusive.
We’ve all known that Peter Parker’s other name was due to swing into PlayStation copies of Square’s comic book adventure eventually and Sony has now dropped a teaser trailer for the newest member of this superhero team. The new trailer drops ahead of the character and gives us a glimpse of this version of the friendly neighbourhood hero, but that’s not everything players can expect to see when Spiderman swings in at the end of this month.
First Look
The new trailer is just under two minutes of action, showing off what sounds like a young Peter Parker in his red and blue Spiderman costume. The trailer follows the webbed teenager as he rescues a range of abductees from AIM henchmen, giving us a look at what powers to expect. Developer Crystal Dynamics doesn’t tread too far from the recent Playstation Spiderman titles, giving this twist on the Marvel icon the expected web shooters, incredible strength, reflexes, and web slinging too. We now know that Spiderman will join the Avengers, or at least fight alongside them, in a special add on called ‘With Great Power’, where we see players teaming up with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow to thwart AIM’s latest scheme.
Owners of Marvel’s Avenges on other platforms are getting some love too. On 30 November all players will be able to crack open the game’s first raid mission. Titled ‘ Discordant Sound’ this top tier challenge will pit groups of four players against the Wakandan villain Klaw and pose a serious challenge to anybody who is looking to get some of the game’s best gear and loot. This also comes alongside a level caps increase to 175, an increase of 25 levels, as well as item, gear, and general fixes.
While we’re still not super stoked about the PlayStation Exclusive element of this update, the trailer has got me considering if I should load up marvel’s Avengers again and after a troubled launch, this comic book tale sorely needs that goodwill.
