Space Crew Set To Blast Off To Steam Summer Games Festival

Curve Digital just unveiled a sequel to Bomber Crew and it’s set to blast off into SPACE!

More adventures in the cold uncaring vastness of the cosmos are coming after Curve Digital and Runner Duck announced a brand new sequel to Bomber Crew this weekend. Blasting off into adventure this September, Space Crew will seek out new life and seek out strange new civilisations. Players on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch can grab this twist on the indie hit when it arrives and you can catch a glimpse of Space Crew in the trailer above.

Fly Into Action

For players that haven’t heard of either Bomber of Space Crew then both the titles have a similar gameplay mechanic. You’ll set out in your high or low tech ship players controlling the actions of their crew moment-to-moment in the minutiae of navigation, scanning and combat. The new space setting allows much more player freedom and campaign unpredictability with much greater mission variety and deeper strategic gameplay. Pilots will need to be more aware than ever before with a seemingly cast array of things that can go wrong. From the vacuum of space to alien attacks, and the same onboard mechanical failures that could’ve taken down a WWII bomber, Space Crew is a similar but very different idea.

“We at Runner Duck have always been huge fans of sci-fi movies like Alien, Star Trek, Interstellar, and Star Wars,” said Runner Duck co-founder Dave Wingrove. “We had so much fun crafting Bomber Crew, we just couldn’t wait to explore all the possibilities a far future setting would offer. Recruiting your crew for typical space sci-fi positions and then sending them out on missions into the perilous depths of space is an ideal theme for the ‘Crew’ series.”

Even better you can try out a slice of space in Space Crew as part of the Steam Summer Games Festival from Tuesday 16th June to Monday 22nd June. Head over to the Steam Store Page to grab a demo now.
