Space Engineers 2 Floats Into Steam Early Access

Zero gravity builder, Space Engineers 2 is now available in Steam Early Access.

Schedule a new second mission, it’s time to get building in the cold recess of outer space. Keen Software House has released the latest instalment in the Space Engineers series, and you can pick it up in Steam early Access now. Help build the next instalment in this popular sandbox series, piecing together orbital structures with a new degree of freedom.

The release news means players can suit up for £24.99 or local equivalent, and fly around the Alpha testing stages of the game. Creative Mode is available, allowing players a chance to explore in single player mode. As a solo space engineer, you’ll head to the distant Almagest system with tons of room to pick and choose what you want to place or piece together. Huge stations full of intricate detail can come to life thanks to the new 25cm unified grid system, providing the option to build with incredible precision. The second instalment also adds a blueprint tools like snap-to-grid, partial copy/paste, toolbar assignments, and powerful building tools such as the voxel hand, symmetry tools, line/plane building, a flexible paint tool, and grid undo/redo,

The Space Engineers 2 follows on from a hugely successful space building sim, originally developed and published by Keen Software House. Released in October 2013, the first in the series allows players to design and construct their own spacecraft, space stations, and planetary outposts in a vast open-world environment. With a focus on physics-based mechanics and creative freedom, players can mine resources, build complex structures, and engage in both solo and multiplayer gameplay. Expect a similar experience this time around in the Space Engineers 2 Early Access, with tons of enhancements.

Space Engineers is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 platforms, while new astronauts can try out Space Engineers 2 on Steam now.
