Space Punks, the looter shooter from Flying Wild Hog, now has even more loot with a brand new update, out soon.
Space punks, the free-to-play sci-fi looter-shooter with a whole crate full of attitude later this week with a brand new update. The second add-on to this space-faring adventure is titled “The Crafty One” and is full to the brim with ways to build a new adventure. Following on from last month’s “The Talented One “ update, this time around players shooting up the far reaches of the outer rim will find a ton of changes to the in-game crafting and weapon specialization options.
Centred on this core revamp of the crafting system, the latest changes to Space Punks boils down to weapons. Lots and lots of ways to make things go boom, whizz, or pop. New crafting materials should help players boost weapons stats and abilities, while the introduction of blueprints adds a form of progression to the crafting system. Blueprints are available plans for making new tools of the trade and can be unlocked through play. These weapon schematics are unlocked by spending resources collected from jobs or from specific quests, and can even be upgraded over time to make the end result even more deadly. Once you’re finished with an underpowered pea shooter, the crafting system changes will allow players to scrap any weapon for parts, with bigger payback for anything into which they have invested resources.
The final major milestone in the new update is the introduction of a 3D weapon preview and an upgrade animation which changes depending on how many upgrades have gone into a weapon of choice. This all comes alongside a bunch of quality fixes, bug repairs, and general enhancements that come on a list longer than my meagre inventory has space for.
