Square Enix has announced the release date for its next JRPG, Lost Sphear. The game will arrive for multiple platforms on January 23, 2018.

Square also announced that pre-orders are now open. PlayStation 4 players who pre-order will receive a special PS4 theme and two music tracks. Steam / PC users who pre-order will receive a themed wallpaper and two music tracks. Switch players must be sad, however, as no pre-order items were announced for them. Pre-order editions of the game will run $49.99.
Lost Sphear is coming out from Tokyo RPG Factory, a company that specializes in bringing classic JRPGs to new technology. The company’s last game, I Am Setsuna, met with critical acclaim earlier this year.
Players begin their adventure in a small town where a young boy wakes from a dream. He finds his hometown disappearing. He sets out with his friends to rebuild the world around him.
