Star Ocean: The Last Hope is an action RPG that was initially released only for Xbox 360 in 2009. A year after the game has also gotten a PS3 version. Now, 8 years later, Square Enix decided to release a remastered version for PC as well as PS4. Players can look forward to HD textures, 4k resolution and much more.
The game’s plot revolves around humanity’s attempts to survive after all hell broke loose during the events of WWIII. The remaining population of Earth was forced to live in underground cities as the natural environment of the planet was deteriorating at an alarming rate. The last hope of survivors lies with the Space Reconnaissance Force that is tasked with venturing into space and locating a suitable new home for the mankind.

Oh My Jesus!
I am so stoked for this! Star Ocean: Last Hope was my favorite Star Ocean game. I still occasionally boot it up on my old PS3. 🙂

I am also so stoked for it. I never got to finish it because i had to trade my ps3 in before for money reasons when i was younger.
I am all for this.

Oh cool, I have it on PS3 but never got around to playing it. A remaster sounds more enjoyable 😀

Is that release date just for Japan or is that worldwide?

At this point, it is just for Japan. Let’s hope it comes West after that!
