Star Trek Online Collaborates with Star Trek: Lower Decks

Star Trek Online

Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment have announced a special collaboration between Star Trek Online and the brand new CBS All-Access show, Star Trek: Lower Decks. The animated series debuted on the premium streaming channel earlier this week. To celebrate its launch, STO players will receive four of the main characters for free. Each character is a special duty officer. The four support crew members are Boimler, Mariner, Tendi, and Rutherford. Each can be used for Federation crews and each comes with a unique active power that might even be helpful from time to time. Players simply need to open the Zen Store and grab them for free.

In addition to the Star Trek: Lower Decks collaboration, STO captains will be able to head to Risa for the annual Lohlunat Festival. This is an opportunity for hard-working captains to get a little R&R as well as a chance to score some pretty sweet loot including the Risian Weather Control Vessel (T6). There are a number of fun activities including the Powerboard Races, the Biathlon, Horga’hn Hunting, Scavenging with Sovak, and the galaxy-famous Dance Party.

There are tons of prizes to earn along the way on Risa. The specially-themed store features new baseball uniforms and other items offered in the past in a variety of color variants. Costumes include baseball uniforms, band t-shirts, impulsive floaters and powerboards, the team-themed vanity shield, universal kit modules, the Risian kit fram, the Risian Rainbow Caracal vanity pet, and the rainbow tribble.

There’s a lot to unpack, so head to the Star Trek Online official site to learn more.
