Starship Troopers: Extermination brings the fight to the bugs in Early Access today!
Offworld Industries, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, are taking back the galaxy for humanity. It’s time to do your part citizen and get on the front lines of development as a brand new co-op FPS hits Early Access. Taking the cult classic movie universe and spinning off an up close and personal foray into insect territory, this new title opens up at $24.99 USD or local equivalent later today on PC.
Early Access for the new recruits will give players an opportunity to sample a mix of frantic 16 player co-op FPS and base building strategy, while fending off waves of incoming insectoid armies. Putting players in the role of an unfortunate marine, you’ll drop into enemy territory, team up, scavenge resources, build defences, and try to establish a foothold on a hostile planet. Then waves of creepy stabby chompy things will try to tear it all down.
Along the way, players will help shape the move from this version to full release, likely expanding upon the game’s initial 3 classes, myriad of weapons, powerful bug opposition, and seeing new worlds to conquer. While there’s only Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Grenadier, and Tiger Elite bugs to blow up today, I’m sure that more will be on the way.
