Slitherine Games and The Aristocrats have announced that the upcoming bug zapper Starship Troopers Terran Command isn’t going to be ready for battle until 16 June 2022.
Coming straight out of the dark parody come sci-fi future that is Starship Troopers, Terran Command looks set to be a new twist take on strategy titles that make certain that the human race comes out on top. However, that battle for species supremacy is going to take a little longer than we first thought. With an expected launch date of 31 March looming over us like the rolling hills of an alien world, there’s been a last-minute delay. Thankfully, both the developer and publisher have confirmed that the new date, pushed back by less than e months is the definitive, no holes barred, day of destruction for the bug empire.
For those that were as surprised as us to hear of the new title, Terran Command takes at least some visual inspiration from the 1997 Paul Verhoeven movie and morphs the legions of human cannon fodder into a real time strategy. You’ll take command of the Mobile Infantry and do your part in the war against the Arachnid threat. Setting out on a campaign to liberate the harsh desert planet Kwalasha, you’ll be able to call on unique units, weapons, and special abilities are at the disposal of M.I. commanders. While you’ll be able to develop and build mechs, call in airstrikes, and more, superior tactics will be required against the Arachnid’s seemingly limitless numbers.
Starship Troopers Terran Command is coming to PC. You make a reckless decision and sign the Mobile Infantry to chase a girl by pre-purchasing over on the Steam Store page now.
