Steelseries revealed their latest headset this morning, a DOTA 2 edition of their popular Arctis 5 gaming headset. As seen in the picture above, the headset features prominent DOTA 2 branding on the inner “ski goggle” suspension band. More strikingly, each monitor features stylized character artwork from the popular community contributor, Chroneco. The anime-like approach to the skin is immediately reminiscent of the Pokemon amalgamations we’ve seen in years past. It’s fitting, given the huge and expanding roster of playable characters in DOTA 2.
The Arctis 5 is one of Steelseries’ most recent and popular headset releases. It features a number of unique features, including breathable AirWeave ear cushions and their high-quality proprietary ClearCast mic. The Arctis 5 also features full virtual 7.1 surround sound and is Prism-sync enabled with customizable RGB illumination. Prism-sync is Steelseries’ in-house system for synchronizing RGB illumination effects. With a click of a button, all of your Prism devices can easily match colors and effects, taking your desktop to the next level.
The DOTA 2 Edition of the Arctis 5 is available now for pre-order for $129.99.
