On all three platforms this weekend, anyone who’s missed the days of great snowboarding (or any winter extreme sports) games can try out Steep for free. Ubisoft today announced that Steep celebrates its DICE award with a free weekend of play for all who are interested.
Players can access the games on each platform during the following times:
- Xbox One: 3/10 at 12:01 a.m. PT to 3/13 at 11:59 p.m. PT
- PS4: 3/10 at 10 a.m. PT to 3/13 at 10 a.m. PT
- Uplay: 3/10 at 10 a.m. PT to 3/13 at 10 a.m. PT
Players who choose to purchase the game online during this free weekend can of up to 50% for the main game. It’s also worth noting that Steep’s most recent update added the wild, extreme peaks of Alaska’s Mount Denali, including 21 new challenges, 2 branded challenges and one Mountain Story.
What is Steep?
In Steep, players drop in to the Alps and Alaska and ski, snowboard, wingsuit and paraglide through the game’s massive open world playground, filled with exhilarating challenges and breathtaking views. Developed by Ubisoft Annecy*, Steep is designed for a culture that’s all about sharing experiences with the world. Steep features seamless multiplayer, populating the world with players as they naturally explore the Alps and Alaska regions. Players and friends across the globe can take on challenges together or compete with each other to snag the top spot on the leaderboards.

No word, sir. Ubi supports Switch, but I’m betting it’ll be a bit if ever before we see this, Wildlands, or other recent releases. Next round? Maybe.
