Strange Brigade Reveals New Character For Launch

By Jove, they have really done it!

Less than a week from launch, Rebellion releases a new trailer for Strange Brigade ahead of their August 28th launch.

Check out the trailer:

Joining this motley crew of ragtag adventurers and oddities is a new character: the gentlemen explorer extraordinaire, Winston Bey. This veritable renaissance man has seen everything there is to see in his lifetime as a journalist, spy, traveller, and diplomat. While Bey may view this partnership as a temporary diversion from his adventuring lifestyle, the Department of Antiquities are making plans for him to become a more permanent fixture in their service.

If you haven’t had your eye on it, Strange Brigade takes 1 – 4 players on astonishing adventures to recover ancient treasures while navigating their dangerous traps, arcane curses, and hordes of frenzied protectors. You will use your whits and weapons to fight past mummies, pirates, and all many of phantasmagorical creatures to get the goods and get out of dodge in an adventure set in the 1930s.

This reveal makes way for new characters to be introduced in the world, but Winston Bey will be available to players on all platforms for free for the first 30 days of Strange Brigade’s launch.

Born in the heyday of mullets and the El Camino to a tech-foward family, Damien (a.k.a. Dame, PastorDame) quickly embraced the reality that “normal” is just a setting on a dryer. Damien is a pastor by trade and loves talking with anyone who is interested about life, God, and video games (in no particular order) - so, much so, that he and fellow MMORPG/GameSpace writer Matt Keith (Nexfury) create a podcast dedicated to that conversation. At the end of the day, Damien is a guy who loves his wife, his Mini Schnoodle, and crafting gourmet bowls of Mac N’ Cheese.

  1. I do want this one but so many good games out this quarter… Spider-man, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Shadow Of Tomb Raider, DC Lego Super-Villians, etc. but now I’m compelled to buy this within the 1st month to get the additional character 🙁

  2. Stay tuned for my review, but spoiler alert: it’s worth it.
