Who would you perceive your protagonist be in a fantasy game? A grey-haired bearded mage wielding epic staff? A muscular barbarian with 2-handed axe? Perhaps an elven ranger? Cunning dark elven rogue adorning their twin blades with poison? How about a sneaky, witty thieving Goblin named Styx?
Say hello to Styx
Cyanide Studio today shared a new video. In it the developers explain how they came up with the idea of goblin protagonist as well as how his personality came to be. Which, to me, seems like quite loveable one. The character offers many sarcastic remarks and snarky comments about the situations he gets into.
You’ll learn why Styx is not the kind of character you’re used to playing, and how his wits outweigh his weaknesses. As a goblin, direct confrontation is the best way to kick the bucket, so you’ll have to study your environment to find the best approach and tools to overcome your enemies.
Styx: Shards of Darkness comes out on March 14th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can learm more about the game and make a pre-order on Steam.
