The developers from Iceflake Studios have shared an open letter from Lasse Liljedahl, the game director of city-building strategy Surviving the Aftermath, in which they shared their plans for the future of the game. According to the letter, the game has evolved since its initial launch into the Early Access phase thanks to the players’ feedback and monthly content updates. Additionally, it became obvious that the team should spend more time on the game to meet everyone’s expectations.
The development of the game has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and so the team has made the difficult decision to push back the official full launch of Surviving the Aftermath to early 2021.
But there is good news! We are excited to share that Surviving the Aftermath will be available on Steam Early Access on October 22, 2020. We promised a Steam release in late 2020, so we are sticking to our word. Expanding Early Access support to Steam allows even more players to get involved during this phase of development where there’s still time for us to act on your feedback.
