Arc System Works has a brand new game in the pipeline and we can already tell it’s going to be something special. In a new video announcement, Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiro announced The Missing to the world.
During the brief announcement, Swery sets a distinctly melancholic tone for his new game. Beyond this, however, we learn very little about the upcoming title. What we do know is that Swery is one of the most interesting characters in modern gaming. The CEO of White Owls, a studio based out of Osaka, is probably best known for Deadly Premonition and Dark Dreams Don’t Die. Both of these genre-bending, narrative-driven titles are a world away from Arc System Work’s regular fighter fare.
I have absolutely no idea what is coming, but it is coming this year and I already know I want to play it.
