Coming in from The NY Times’ Nick Wingfield, it seems that Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo has confirmed that the two day sales for Nintendo Switch have exceeded every other console in the gaming company’s history. That’s right, Switch outsells every Nintendo console’s early sales – even the Wii. Does this suddenly mean it’ll become the powerhouse the Wii was years ago? That all depends on software support and whether or not Nintendo can keep up with the hardware demand. For now, I’m just happy to see the Big N with a big hit.
2. Fri-Sat sales for Nintendo Switch exceeded first 2-day sales in Americas for any system in Nintendo history. Next biggest was Wii.
