Switchblade Races into Early Access This August

Switchblade

While Fortnite has been busily building an enormous fanbase and PubG just passed a cool million downloads, not everyone has given up on the MOBA quite yet. On 28 August, Lucid Games is planning to bring vehicular based MOBA mayhem to PC and PlayStation 4s everywhere, when Switchblade enters early access.

Switchblade is far from your typical online arena, it takes the traditional 5v5 combat of many a MOBA and brings players crashing together at 150mph. A total of 16 vehicles make up the rolling-stock that competitors can choose from, giving a range of tactical choices to each team. Armoured, artillery, fighter, scout, and tank options are all available for pilots and a range of play modes are already outlined for release.

Quick play, co-op, and ranked modes should give players plenty to do during each season and scenarios will require the same essential teamwork you’d expect from a competitive environment. Anybody brave enough to strap in will need to heal cohorts, capturing points, and take down enemy towers, all while wielding something that looks like a cross between an oversized dune buggy and a tank from the 24th century.

If that got you revved up, then head over to the official Steam page for more information or check out the reveal trailer below.
