Taiko no Tatsujin Drops some intense beats with new Tracklist

Think of Japanese arcades and you will conjuror up the same images every time. Pachinko machines, DDR, UFO catchers, and Taiko no Tatsujin. This iconic eastern rhythm game is due to arrive on Nintendo’s Switch, but not before we get a look at the full track listing.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun, on Nintendo Switch, joins the release of Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! On the PlayStation 4  on 2nd November. These two titles are just the latest in a long line of rhythm compendiums that stretch back as far as the PlayStation 2 and pull together a plethora of drum-based challenges to test skill, speed, and co-ordination. This includes a range of single and multiplayer games, featuring up to 4 players. The PlayStation 4 iteration, however, has its own twist with a ranked game mode.

Each of the two games come with their own track listings. The Switch features “Cha-La Head-Cha-La” from Dragon Ball Z and “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s Moana. Highlights from the PlayStation 4 title include ”Let it Go” from Disney’s We’ve Heard This Too Much Please Make it Stop Frozen and even “Pen Pineapple Apple Pen”

We never said that Taiko no Tatsujin was a serious cultural endeavor, but all the songs are in their original Japanese format and you can expect it to be as ludicrous as it sounds. If you are game to bang your drum, dressed as Hello Kitty while a Japanese singer blares out Disney Songs, I’ll be right in front of you! You can check out the full track listing on the official website.
