Coming from a small 3-team studio Chase the Bunny, Tails of Fate is a cute & furry dark metroidvania inspired by Hollow Knight. The project is now available on Kickstarter, seeking to raise $43k, and having already received over $32k with 31 days to go still.
According to the developers, Tails of Fate is a 2D action-adventure Metroidvania that combines old-school RPG charm with modern, dynamic combat. The darkness swarms the fantasy lands of Fauna. Players are in for hand-crafted pixel art world filled with souls-like boss fights, dungeon platforming, and dynamic enemy combat design.
As you play as 3 Tailed heroes, you can switch your gameplay on the spot by changing the active character. Pick between different playstyles from Reynard, Varken and Koal as you embark on a captivating journey with our top-down open-world exploration. Challenge unforgettable bosses, from mythical beasts and folklore legends to quirky foes with larger-than-life personalities.
Collect hidden treasures and resources, use the abilities of a skilled blacksmith to improve your weapons and armor, customize your character’s appearance runes and artifacts.
The game is slated to launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch, with stretch goals including Xbox and PlayStation versions as well.
