One of the biggest mobile games on iOS and Android today has just taken on a new twist as Enzio from Assassin’s Creed joins AFK Arena.
Launching today, this update to AKF Arena introduces Ezio of Assassin’s Creed as a playable character, to this hit mobile game. Initially available for free, Ezio will not cost anything to try for a seven day period. This visitor to the AFK universe can then be added to a player’s AFK team as any other character by earning or via outright purchase.
The addition of Ezio into AFK Arena is expected to be an extremely popular move by developer Lilith Games and gaming giant Ubisoft. Ezio is one of the most popular playable characters in the Assassin’s Creed universe, first appearing in Assassin’s Creed: Lineage. Ezio Auditore da Firenze (1459 – 1524) was a Florentine nobleman during the Renaissance who was also a Master Assassin and the Mentor of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins. He is an ancestor of William and Desmond Miles, as well as Clay Kaczmarek. Across his lifetime, he has also popped up in a range of AC games and two novels.
“We’re excited to see AFK Arena’s core audience continuing to explode across the globe and we’re thrilled to add Ezio from Assassin’s Creed to our hero lineup from today,” commented Xiao Dong, Producer of AFK Arena, Lilith Games.
It’s entirely likely that this move is going to appeal to Assassin’s Creed fans, bringing more players into the already successful AFK Arena. Available on iOS and Android, AFK Arena is an idle fantasy-based RPG mobile game with over 40 million downloads already. Allowing players to take a stress-free trip into adventure on the small screen, it mixes this easy access with strategy, and a very appealing art style to boot. Ok, you won’t be leaping across the roofs of Venice or rushing into battle in HDR, but it’s still a pretty cool appearance if you already play AFK Arena.
