Take on the Past in Ancient Farm

Ancient Farm Announcement

UF Games SA has announced Ancient Farm, an old twist on the farming genre. Rather than taking on raising food and other crops using today’s modern tools, players will go “old school.” The realistic farming and breeding simulator is set in antiquity and is being prepared for release on PC via Steam.

The single-player game puts gamers in the shoes of an ancient farmer who begins the journey with a small plot of land. The goal is, of course, to expand holdings to become an ancient agricultural tycoon. Players experience the action through the farmer’s eyes and a first-person perspective.

In front of you are vast acres of space, left for you to manage: wild, thickly wooded lands that need copious amounts of work and time before a single edible plant appears. You begin with grubbing up. At your disposal are a hatchet and a machete, as well as cattle, which can help you with knocking down the biggest of trees. The obtained resources will be used to construct farm buildings.

As the game progresses, players will be given a “diverse set of wild areas to cultivate.” Each area will require specialized preparation. Players will need to clear the land in order to till it and eventually harvest crops. To do so, players will have access to a wide range of tools, plants, and farm animals specific to the time and space being explored. Players will need to master ancient farming techniques to process grain into flour. Even tasks such as digging ditches for water or constructing farm buildings will challenge the hardiest player.

Features include:

  • ancient farming and breeding simulator;
  • realities of the ancient world;
  • varied gameplay;
  • wide selection of tools, plants, and animals;
  • building a strong farming and breeding infrastructure.
