Team 17 Are Looking To Strike Sunday Gold

Sunday Gold, a gritty turn based dystopian adventure, is now part of the Team17 family, thanks to a new publishing announcement.

Grab your shotgun and cover those kneecaps because gritty turn based underworld adventure Sunday Gold is due to land on PC later this year. Announced today, as part of a new publishing deal between BKOIM Studios and the British team bringing us dieselpunk shooter Marauders, the deal to bring Sunday Gold to PC screens means we will all need to prepare for a less than warm welcome to the old smoke.

Set in London during the 2070s, this new caper mashes classic point and click mechanics with escape room puzzles and cutthroat trun based combat. Taking control of three characters and switching between them, visitors to this less than optimal future will attempt to amass a small fortune by extorting the CEO of Hogan Industries, thanks to his alleged involvement in some brutal cybernetic dog races.

Of course, things don’t go as planned for this title’s trio of ne’er do wells, meaning a battle to come out without a pair of concrete shoes. As you walk a range of environments, you’ll unearth plenty of dirty laundry, but keep your eyes peeled. There are plenty of observation, deduction, and inventory puzzles that will need solving if you don’t want to end up a smear on the carpet. Alternatively, you could just come out swinging and get stuck into a range of comic book inspired combat scenarios. Using specific skills, attacks, and a range of options plucked from a diverse talent tree, players can make the most of Frank Sally, and Gavin’s skillsets.

Sunday Gold is the sort of stylized gritty narrative that made Disco Elysium so appealing and we’re hoping for something just as appealing. You can check out the new trailer above and find out more on the official Steam Store page now.
