Team17 Introduce Hardcore Space Shooter Marauders

Team17 and Small Impact Games have today announced Marauders, a terrifying first-person shooter that is gunning for any loot you care to defend.

Space is a dangerous place, so what better location for a hardcore diesel punk looter shooter than this. Set sometime in an alternate 1990s future where space travel is something of an industrial effort, Marauders looks even further back in time, casting players as a pirate. Unlike sea faring adventurers this is no Sea of Thieves. The outer reaches of the cosmos are a violent dirty and inhospitable place, even when you find an atmosphere. To get some of that air in your lung, you’ll need to explore and breach hostile spaceships, salvage valuable loot, and dispatch anybody that gets in your way. Players don’t have to take on entire ships alone. There will be an opportunity to ransack objectives together as you jump into enemy territory with up to four other online comrades. Assuming you’re not instantly turned into a bloody stain on the floor, you’ll be able to don to an arsenal of iconic weapons from the last century, upgrade armor, and try to get out in one piece. Successful marauders will even be able to keep their haul of loot, using it to upgrade their ship or sell everything for a tidy profit.

This mix of claustrophobic backdrops and brutal shooter action looks set to land on Steam and Microsoft Store, with pre orders coming soon. If you want to see what this interesting idea has to offer, check out the official trailer and drop by the Steam Store page now if you’re looking to Wishlist some action.
