A fearsome looking bear just burst onto screens today. Kuma, the legendary beat ‘em up bear features in the latest trailer for Tekken4 8. The newest gameplay reveal for this long standing face in the fighter franchise just dropped and the ‘Master of Salmon’ is a fearsome sight. Striding into battel with a big fish a bandana, and some denim apparel, this strikes a slightly different pose to the Kuma seen during Tekken 7.
While this goofy bear might not seem overly threatening, the new trailer gives the character some claws. In keeping with Kuma’s ongoing appearances in the franchise, the teaser reveals a powerful but hulking frame that adds in a few awesome extras. In addition to the obvious cut of those claws, there’s a lightning effect to be seen. This seems to be a nod to the backstory involving series regular Heihachi Mishima, and there’s a giant salmon that turns into a robot missile.
The new trailer amps up the anticipation for the latest in the Tekken series. After dropping a Game Awards announcement back in 2022, it will finally arrive on PlayStation, Xbox Series S|X, and PC on 26 January 2024. Find out more and check out some of the other reveals on the official website.
