Teppen, the card battle game that isn’t afraid to cross the narrative streams, is dealing out new cards and more for the Breath of Resistance Update.
The second episode in card battler Teppen’s tale is set to bring players on iOS and Android devices a bunch of new cards, skins, events, and yet another adversary to take down. Available now, the update is the early steps in a rebellion against the Goddess Myria’s salvation, where an army of faces from Breath of Fire, Street Fighter, Mega Man, and more. Characters from Red Earth will make their Teppen Debut.
As part of this arc, players will follow a team of heroes, brought together by Resident Evil 2’s Ada Wong. As they venture forth, they will find Street Fighter’s Karin Kanzuki. Three Sages—Breath of Fire’s Deis, Red Earth’s Tessa, and Monster Hunter Riders’ Shakuna battling to find and repair the legendary flagship Death Rogumer from Mega Man X and trying to survive the Desert of Death. For those that this seems lost on, don’t worry too much about the narrative. While you’re catching up, you’ll be able to experience some epic card battles with a roster of characters that wouldn’t normally interact with each other on any other platform.
For players looking to utilize these new faces to their full potential, there’s a new ability too. This new card pack will introduce a new ability called . While the designated amount of friendly units are on the field this ability is always on offer, so it benefits teamwork. There are also a ton of new cards to play, including The Green card ‘Resistance Leader Karin,’ the Purple card ‘Ancient Sorceress Deis,’ and Red card ‘Proud Soldier Colonel. Even more of these cards are coming in February, so there are even more ways to play.
Beyond the update, New year events in Teppen are still ongoing, adding a bunch of new BGM and hero skins to the in game shop, while the 2.5 year anniversary events just kicked off with 10 free Jewels, more BGMs, and a special Season Pass sale.
