Fans of the Just Cause universe will be happy to hear that Square Enix announced Just Cause Mobile during this week’s The Game Awards. The Unreal Engine 4 action-shooter will be free to play on both iOS and Android mobile devices starting in 2021 and will feature a story campaign, 30-player competitive multiplayer, and 4-player co-op missions. Players will also be able to navigate the action via parachutes, wingsuit, and or via grappling.
A few facts from the development team:
- The series will not be mobile-only going forward.
- The mobile version is being developed in-house by Square Enix.
- There will be in-app purchases available.
- The mobile version is the first game in the series to feature multiplayer.
