TGA 2020: Just Cause Mobile Brings Shooter Action to Your Phone

Fans of the Just Cause universe will be happy to hear that Square Enix announced Just Cause Mobile during this week’s The Game Awards. The Unreal Engine 4 action-shooter will be free to play on both iOS and Android mobile devices starting in 2021 and will feature a story campaign, 30-player competitive multiplayer, and 4-player co-op missions. Players will also be able to navigate the action via parachutes, wingsuit, and or via grappling.

A few facts from the development team:

  • The series will not be mobile-only going forward.
  • The mobile version is being developed in-house by Square Enix.
  • There will be in-app purchases available.
  • The mobile version is the first game in the series to feature multiplayer.
