Level Infinite has announced that Goddess of Victory: Nikke will get a Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover.
Coming soon, but with no announced date quite yet, Shift Up’s sci-fi shooter is about to cross over with an anime behemoth. Characters from the iconic Evangelion series are set to enter the fray, with an event that incorporates the major characters, outfits, and artworks from this series.
The news dropped with a teaser trailer. While it doesn’t add much in game information, you can get a glimpse of it above. Publisher Level Infinite confirmed that characters such as Asuka, Rei, Mari, and Misato will be featured in the world of that Goddess of Victory: Nikke. With the update, players will enjoy exclusive content that incorporates Evangelion into the world of Nikke. Hopefully, we get more than a simple reskin of existing characters and weapons.
This isn’t the first Evangelion crossover we’ve seen in mobile gacha games. Both Ninjala and Tower of Fantasy have played host to Eva pilots, with Tower of Fantasy even crafting an entirely new story line for these giant robots to stomp around in. I’d suspect we will see something more like the character crossover from Honkai Impact 3rd, however.
For anybody who hasn’t heard of Nikke, this adventure takes players on an immersive story-driven quest filled with beautifully rendered playable characters and a mysterious world to explore.
