That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI dropped a new DLC over the weekend.
Players still reeling from the shutdown of Blue Protocol can escape to another world with even more ISEKAI. The gaming spin off for hit anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime got a DLC over the weekend, which includes a brand-new tale and an additional character to keep things interesting. Called “A Strange Fate” this extra quest is available for all anime fans across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC for around $6.99.
While that might mean you’ll choose between a month of Crunchyroll of another visit to the world of Tempest, there’s plenty to do. Players can take on the role of Sumire, instead of Rimuru Tempest, as she embarks on a quest to locate Hinata, Sumire’s childhood friend and captain of the Western Holy Church’s Crusaders. 10 new side quests and 7 extra buildings are bundled into the new add on.
If you picked up the Digital Deluxe Edition of the original release, then the DLC should be included for you to try out right now. For those jumping in for the first time, the DLC adds onto the base game, reliving the original story. Everything from the encounter with the Kijin to the battle against the Kingdom of Falmuth come fully voiced! Reception might be mixed, but this is likely a must play for avid fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI.
