Acer Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 announcement adds blends specs to a beast of a handheld.

Acer made a big announcement last night and its sure to appeal to on the go gamers. Take a look at the new Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11, a pair of new Windows powered handhelds, unveiled by Acer. Announced last night and due to hit shelves across EMEA and the US in Q2 2025, the newest Acer options come powered by AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processors, 2 TB of storage, and 16 GB LPDDR5x memory. While that’s all pretty impressive, it’s the Nitro Blaze 11 that has us squinting at the screen.

The smaller of the two upcoming gaming PCs fits into the already established land of the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Lenovo Legion brand. It crams an 8.8-inch display into the chassis and cranks it up to 144Hz. An AMD Radeon 780M Graphics processor can leverage Radeon Super Resolution, and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution technology to make things look pretty slick,. So far, so expected. However, the Nitro Blaze 11 brings a 10.95-inch to the party. That’s right. Bringing the action up to tablet sized proportions, this humungous gripper launches all your gaming needs from a Acer Game Space application (nice name Acer) and offers players the options overhanging on for dead life, or removing the detachable controllers to sit back and play.

Possibly the strangest incarnation of a laptop that isn’t a laptop I’ve ever seen also includes a ton of connectivity. Fast connectivity options supported on the Nitro Blaze devices include USB 4 (Type-C), USB 3.2 (Type-C), Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Additionally, users get three months of PC Game Pass. If you’ve ever wondered what up to 39 TOPS of power in a handheld looks like, check out the Acer Nitro Blaze, assuming you’ve got big enough hands. The Acer Nitro Blaze 8 (GN782U) will be available in North America in Q2, starting at USD 899, and in EMEA in Q2, starting at EUR 999. The Acer Nitro Blaze 11 (GN7112U) will be available in North America in Q2, starting at USD 1,099, and in EMEA in Q2, starting at EUR 1,199.

For those of you who I’ve not met yet, my name is Ed. After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
